Darrell E. Williams age 68 of Bloomington, IL passed away at 9:45 AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side. Visitation will be 10:00 AM-11:30 AM Saturday, May 11, 2019 Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL with his funeral service to follow. The family would invite everyone to wear their favorite sport attire. Private inurnment will be at a later date. The family suggests memorials be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois 423 Kays Drive, Normal IL Darrell was born on June 22, 1950 on Bloomington, IL the son of Leslie and Dolores Chavez Williams. He married Cynthia A. "Cindy" Hardesty on August 31, 1996 in Ellsworth, IL. She survives. Also surviving are his 6 children, Christina (Andy) Roberts, Grovetown, GA, Heather Brown, Richmond Hill, GA, Tiffany (Frank) McGowan, Richmond Hill, GA, Aaron Williams, Little Rock, AR, Buddy (Linda Cope) Backus, FL, Misty (Chuck) Willard, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 11 grandchildren, Bridget, Ali, Tyler, Taylor, Cortney, Melody, Jasmine, Noah, Zachary, Chelse, Mackenzie, 2 great-grandchildren, Connor, Scarlett 2 brothers, Mike (Becky) Williams, Bloomington, IL, Frank (Margaret) Campbell, TX, 3 sisters, Velda (Jimmy) Brown, Bloomington, IL, Mary (Tim) Trunnell, Normal, IL, Dolly John (Owen) Wilmoth, Bloomington, IL and his special dog Ginger Mae. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, his step father, John Campbell, 1 brother and 2 sisters. Darrell was a building Service worker at Illinois State University. He was an avid sports fan especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Darrell enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
