Jesse Manns Sr. age 90 of Normal, IL, passed away at 2:48 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at The Loft, Normal, IL. His memorial service will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 28, 2020 at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Rev. William Johnson will be officiating.The service and visitation will be limited to 50 persons and a face mask is required. Visitation will be 10 AM-11:00 Friday at the memorial home. Private inurnment will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum, Bloomington, IL. The family suggests memorials be made to his family in c/o his daughter Lena Manns 510 E. Jefferson, Bloomington, IL. 61701 Jesse was born June 14, 1930 in Brownsville, TN the son of Tommy and Ada Sanders Manns. He married Justtine Jones. She precedes him in death. He later married Lola Phifer and she precedes him in death. Surviving are his 7 children, Dallas Manns, Champaign, IL, Tommy (Cathy) Manns, Bloomington, IL, Jesse Manns Jr, Bloomington, IL, Lena Manns, Bloomington, IL, Peggy Manns, Bloomington, IL, Paul (Sharon) Manns, Bloomington, IL, Faye Manns, Bloomington, IL, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Helen Thomas, Rochester, NY. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Adissa Afful and 2 sisters, Ella Manns and Etta Young Jesse was retired from Dennison Ford, Bloomington, IL. He enjoyed fishing and dancing. He was a loving father and grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him.
