Ruthirene M. "Ruth" Sciutto age 93 of Bloomington, IL passed away at 7:40 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at her residence. Her memorial mass will be 12 Noon Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington, IL. Fr. Jeffrey Stirniman will be officiating. Private inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal IL. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Ruth was born April 1, 1929, in Bloomington, IL the son of Robert and Helen Thievagt Mentzer She married John Sciutto he precedes her in death. Surviving are her 3 children, John Sciutto, Bloomington IL, Jeff (Izabelle) Sciutto, Columbus, IN, Christine Lauritson, Bloomington, IL, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, 1 infant brother Robert Mentzer. Ruth was a Teacher at Farmington & Canton and later for District 87 School District and ISSCS and substituted at Central Catholic. She will be missed by all who knew her.
